The Washington State Department of Health, Division of Community and Family Health, Office of Health Promotion is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Health Services Consultant 3 – Part-time (90%) – PROJECT – Senior Health Educator.  This position is located in Tumwater, Washington.  (Recruitment # DOH794)

This project position serves as a senior level health educator providing support to local health jurisdictions, local communities, tribes and DOH programs in their health promotion efforts.

Duties include:

• Coordinating the Preventive Health and Health Services (PHHS) Block Grant funding to DOH programs, local health jurisdictions and tribes.
• Serving on the Health Education Resource Exchange (H.E.R.E.) team to market and evaluate the H.E.R.E. website.
• Writing bi-monthly electronic H.E.R.E. newsletter.
• Consulting, training, facilitating and providing technical assistance to public health programs at the state and local levels.
• Planning, organizing, administering, implementing and evaluating health education/health promotion programs and campaigns.
