Part-time (0.6 FTE), days. Includes some evening and weekend work.
Location: Main Campus
The Safe Kids Coordinator will co-lead Safe Kids Washington with Washington
State Department of Health and work on advocacy and injury prevention programs
at Seattle Children's. Will be trained as a child passenger safety technician to
help families of patients and in the community.
Requires:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Public Health or related field
AND at least 3 years experience in the planning, implementation, and
evaluation of health education programs,
OR
- Master’s degree plus 1 year experience
Prefers:
- Master’s degree in Health Education, Public Health, or related field
- Experience in the health care field or social service industry
- Experience working with resource libraries and development of materials
for the internet
- Certified Health Education Specialist
- Child Passenger Safety Technician
- In depth knowledge of the injury prevention field
- Experience in training
